​AS AN INDIVIDUAL 

We offer Employability Support for neurodivergent people. This means we can help you with everything you need to find employment. We believe that ND people need person-centered support when trying to find employment, and we help build a framework that matches your needs and enables you to move forward with your career and employment plans.

Some people need motivation to break the cycle of procrastination. Some might need support for wellbeing because everything seems overwhelming. This can be in the form of reminder texts to fulfill tasks or body doubling to help with accountability. Some people need a sounding board to talk through their ideas and plans. It could be that they need their confidence building to apply for jobs or attend interviews. Neurotypical people normally need support with attending interviews, but it can be more nerve-wracking if you are asking for accommodations or masking because you are not ready to disclose. What is disclosure? Do I need to do it? What if my experience of disclosing has been negative in the past? What should I do? What should I say? There can be a huge amount of worries, concerns and questions running around your head.

Some people just need a cheerleader standing on the sidelines, helping them find the strength to face their fears.

What do you actually do?

We coach individuals to find the skills needed to search and apply for jobs. The confidence to attend interviews and we help you step into the Employability Market and feel in control of your future.

Where do I find the right job?

We have lists of excellent job sites and work with recruitment agencies that only place neurodivergent candidates. If we can’t find the right agency or job site, we can look at Direct Marketing, where we approach a company on your behalf or give you the tools to approach them yourself.

I don’t know what job I want to do?

We can even help with that. We can do a skills analysis incorporating career software specifically designed for neurodivergent people. We can work through your strengths and weaknesses, your interests and experiences, examining your transferable skills to build a picture of a career path that you can confidently walk down.

What if I don’t have the right skills?

Let us help you find the training you need and then get the ND support you are entitled to for learning new skills.

What happens when I get offered a job?

The support doesn’t stop there. If you are successful at the interview, then we can help you start your new job, as this can be the most daunting part. We can support you with Access to Work, help you ask for accommodations and mediate with your new employer on your behalf.

What happens if I feel overwhelmed and can’t regulate my emotions?

Managing your health and general wellbeing is more important than any job, and this is why your wellbeing is paramount. We can signpost you to a wide variety of support services or discuss some simple changes that may support you and help you deal with challenging situations and difficult emotions.

We can offer a one-on-one service, small group training sessions via Google Meet, Teams, Zoom, or a mixture of both to meet your exact needs. You might already know what support you want, and it could be something as simple as compiling a cover letter or guidance on how to start your own company.
